True or False

Practices: reading and listening comprehension

  1. Put a line of tape on the floor and designate one side “True” and the other “False”.
  2. Hold up an object or flashcard and say its word (True) or a different word (false). If students think you have said the correct word they jump on the “True” side, if not they jump on the “False” side.
  3. Incorrect students are ‘out’ until the next round.

Flashcard suggestions:

 dog  pear  snake
 cat  apple  frog
 bird  carrot  tree
 bear  tomato  flower
 orange  fish  bush

You can also choose more advanced words based on the class’ abilities.
