My husband and I live in Sweden with our many animals as a big family. Our animals are very clever and they show it in the way they act. They open the (big) doors with their paws and they can come and ask me to open the doors if they’re locked. They come down from the woods by our house when we call them for meals. The Swedish word for food is “mat” and they have learned it very well. But the most impressive thing is the way they look into my eyes and try to figure out what I plan to do. Will I let them go outside or get their food from the fridge, for example?
Our animals are not unlike us and every animal should be treated with care and respect.
