Backs to the Board

Practices: describing, listening skills

  1. Separate the class into two teams and stand one student from each team in front of the board, facing away from it.
  2. Write a word or draw a picture on the board (e.g. “elephant”) and the students have to explain that word to their team member without saying the word (e.g. you can find them in India. They are grey and have big ears). The first student of the two standing in front of the board to guess the word wins a point for his/her team.
